๐ฟ Vitamins & Supplements โ the careful shelf
Browse Vitamins & Natural Supplements. Every supplement here is listed with five things, in plain language:
- What it is โ the ingredient, its form, and the amount per serving.
- What it's for โ what people traditionally take it for, stated honestly. We do not claim any supplement diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease.
- What it may interact with โ many natural products interact with prescriptions (blood thinners, blood-pressure and blood-sugar medicines, antidepressants, sedatives and thyroid medicine are common ones). If you take any prescription, check with your pharmacist before adding a supplement โ pharmacists check this for free.
- How to take it โ the label directions, and never more than the label says. More is not better; with supplements, more can be poison.
- Staying safe โ start one new product at a time so you know what caused any reaction. Watch for toxicity signs (nausea, headache, racing heart, unusual bruising) and stop and seek care if they appear. And remember the placebo effect is real and powerful: feeling better is a blessing, but it isn't proof a product treated a condition โ keep taking the medicines your provider prescribed.
This page is general information to help you shop carefully. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose. Your provider and pharmacist know your body and your prescriptions โ they make the final call.
